Imara District Fellowship

Imara district was curved by from the larger Mugumo District on September 2013 after the work of Shepherding continued to grow.

The district runs from the main Kasarani Njiru road, cuts through Sunton road to ACK and then runs down from ACK Church to join Humphry Garage road.

On 27th at 2013, Elder Nelson Kamau Gitau was posted to the newly created district as the first elder.

In July 2015 he handed over to Elder James M. Kinuthia after being posted to Ndurummo district.T he district had about 20 Families.

Imara is a Kiswahili word meaning ‘firm’ or well rooted. The members of this district are well grounded in the word of God like the early Christians in Berea church who searched the scriptures for themselves to verify the message they heard. Acts 17:11-12

The Team is able to serve members in various zones which have grown to over 40 families. The district runs what’s up platform where members are able to interact and share messages of encouragement, receive updates and communications.

To have a fellowship that nurtures members spiritually and emotionally

Core Objectives

  • To share the word of God through scripture
  • To encourage each other in faith
  • To share our experiences and witness about Christ through testimony
  • Support each other in prayer and materially in times of grief, sorrow and happiness.

Project

The district runs the project of a tent and chairs which were bought through contribution of members .Members are able to benefit immensely from facilities whenever they have functions in their residences.

The district also generates income from this project enabling them to meet their financial obligations.

Non members can rent the tent and chairs at the rate of ksh 2,500 per day
